DAS42 is now a Snowflake Cortex Code Preferred Partner.
Here’s what that means, and why it matters for clients building AI applications on Snowflake.
What Preferred Partner Status Means
We’ve been building on Snowflake for ten years. When Snowflake recognizes us as a Preferred Partner for Cortex Code, I want to say what that recognition actually reflects, and why it matters if you’re trying to get AI into production.
Most AI projects don’t fail at the model. They fail at the data. And then they fail again when a working proof of concept turns out to be impossible to implement in real life day-to-day operations. The gap between demo and production is where things fall apart.
Cortex Code is Snowflake’s AI coding agent, built natively into the platform. It understands your data catalog, your security, your schemas, and uses that context to generate code that actually runs. SQL, dbt models, ML pipelines, Snowflake Intelligence agents, they are all inside the environment where your data already lives.
That last part is key - data doesn’t leave the platform. There are no third-party exposure and no governance exceptions. No audit is triggered because someone exported a sensitive dataset to build against it outside Snowflake.
Snowflake doesn’t hand this out for passing certifications. Preferred Partner status reflects applied work that teams have adopted, and the capability used in client environments.
Our consultants have been using Cortex Code to build and deploy AI use cases for clients in media, entertainment, and telecom. The recognition reflects work that’s already happened, not a roadmap.
Our consultants aren’t generalists who learned Snowflake last year. They follow the entire data lifecycle, from architecture to AI. Most firms specialize to the nth degree: one person on ingestion, another on transformation, another on optimization, another on consumption. We are different, our consultants own the whole thing. That’s not common, and it truly matters when you’re trying to move fast.
The Real Constraint on AI Projects
AI only works if your data does.
It’s not the models, and it’s not the tooling. Success sits with the data foundation. If your data is clean (relatively), governed, and already in Snowflake, Cortex Code shortens the road to production considerably. You’re building on what’s already there, not rebuilding infrastructure to support AI.
If you’re not sure where your data stands, or whether your organization is ready to move AI projects into production — that’s the conversation to have first. Before you start building.
We’re not in the business of running up engagement hours on work that doesn’t need to happen. Get in, get the job done, amaze the client, and get out. That’s how we’ve always worked.
