Putting the "42" in DAS42
In the science-fiction classic, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, an ancient, alien species develops a supercomputer named Deep Thought in order to ask it for the answer to “the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything.”
After seven and a half million years of pondering and processing, Deep Thought finally presents an answer: The single number, “42.” Confounded and dismayed, the aliens demand an explanation, to which Deep Thought responds, “How can you possibly expect to understand the answer when you’ve never actually known what the question means?”
